Deco-Off Paris 2024 Itinerary
This year was my first time going to Deco-Off and it exceeded all my expectations! While we definitely went at a slower than usual pace, we were still able to experience and see so much. Coming from Seattle, we have a very small yet close community. Because we are smaller that made seeing everything that much more exciting! Below I will break down our schedule and link separate blog posts for each day that go more into depth if you would like to see more.
Monday January 15- Direct flight from Seattle to Paris! Of all the happiest surprises, we were on the same flight as 3 iconic Seattle showroom owners. We also got to see the northern lights out the window of our flight which was very magical.
Tuesday January 16- Landed in Paris and went straight to our hotel in the 1st arrondissement (district/neighborhood) which is our favorite place to stay. It takes anywhere from 45 mins to 1.5 hours to uber into the city from Charles de Gaulle depending on traffic. For reference most design showrooms and events are in 6th arrondissement.
Wednesday January 17- Officially the first day of Deco-Off! We started the day at Zimmer+Rhode’s pop up at Zidoun-Bossuyt Gallery. Since we were already in the 6th we stopped by Schumacher’s showroom which includes a store featuring some amazing accessories from dishwater to handbags. We ended at DeGournay which was an important stop since we don’t have a showroom in Seattle. Day 1 full recap to come!
Thursday January 18- Day 2 of Deco-off we started the day at Le Meurice hotel with the lovely team from Jennifer West Showroom and headed off to Theatre des Varietes for the Pierre Frey presentation featuring the recently acquired Thorp of London. The Frey family was there to greet everyone and it was beyond cool to meet them. As jet lag did catch up to us, we took the rest of the day off until the event of the season - the whole reason we went on this trip: the Schumacher Night of Mystery! Full recap of Day 2 also to come!
Friday January 19- Day 3 was an absolute favorite day of mine. Our systems had recalibrated and we were more adjusted than the first 2 days. Our first stop was Holly Hunt at Hotel de Crillon. It was a gorgeous space and the details were just all stunning. Seeing the spring collection all together in that setting was honestly incredible. That night we had the American Party in Paris at Hotel de Ville . Apparently that is THE event and it sells out in literal minutes. More to come on Day 3!
The rest of the trip was really just for us to hang out and see the city. My best friend who is living in Edinburgh came to join us the rest of the trip and we got to see Sacre-Couer, visit Foundation Louis Vuitton and go to countless cafes. In all our first Deco-Off was a huge success! We had the best time and can’t wait to go again ;)
